I joined Katie's collaborative volume 'Evolving on Purpose: Co-creating with the Divine' specifically because the title 'Evolving on Purpose' had attracted me already when she was creating the first volume. That's because it pretty much summarizes an important aspect of what my life has been about all along.

I knew that Katie would turn the book into an international best seller on Amazon and that it would be a community experience, both of which I anticipated to be as delightful as it would be useful. Being highly interested in people and in forging relationships, but not being a natural talent at initiating new contacts, I was looking forward to the networking with the other members of the community in particular.

When the launch was approaching, this aspect took shape for me in amazing ways, unexpected new avenues began opening up, I made wonderful new friends and the launch itself turned out to be a thrilling and exhilarating ride. Being an author is a dream I have had since high school. Evolving on Purpose 2 is a beautiful collaboration of stories that show we are more alike than different. That we have not "failed" life, that we can change our lives on purpose with purpose. I was hesitant at first to tell my story thinking it was "sad, would sound like "poor me". However, I then realized that as I read other people's stories, I never once thought that poor person, what a sad story... I thought, "WOW! Look at what they've been through and how courageous they were to make a change!" I've learned the best way to help others is by sharing stories. Writing our words for others to see can feel so heavy, especially when the responsibility weighs so heavily on us to get it published. That's where Katie came in. Not only was there that safe space to be able to share my journey, my life and my words to paper, but she took that weight away and left me free and guided through the journey from the writing through to best selling author. I felt like I'd known Katie forever. She was immediately tuned in to my energy. I found her to be highly intuitive and empathic. I loved how her voice changed and became assertive when she was cutting ties for me. I wouldn't mess with her if I was an ancient or generational blockage! The session felt like 10 minutes, but at the end I knew that something profound had changed or shifted in me, in a positive way. I wasn't the same person after my session with Katie. I am now who I am here to be and the fearful, shrinking 'good girl' has disappeared into the ether.
